1925
It is not much after the establishment of Republic of Turkey and the country is still struggling with poverty. People are trying to heal the wounds of the years-long war. Hard-working, intelligent and entrepreneur people of Black Sea are trying to keep going by growing nuts, corns, citrus trees on fertile but steep land, by fishing and by weaving Rizebezi and waist cloths on handlooms. But the lack of roads and the scarcity of cars, like every region of Turkey, are crippling them as well. Their only connection to the outside world is small boats that run between land and passenger and cargo boats that touch at small residential areas on the coastline. When natural disasters are added to all these difficult conditions, the life becomes much more challenging for the people of Black Sea.

When excessive rain floods Solakl� Stream between Of and �aykara, the transportation between these two towns becomes almost impossible. That is until Hac� Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy creates a solution that will eventually affect his whole life and the faith of three generations. With his intelligent and entrepreneurial character, senior Ulusoy takes the first steps in establishing a corporation, which will eventually become a giant in air and marine transport, tourism, automotive and textile sectors, by building a simple raft.

1928
The senior Ulusoy, who had found a practical solution for the transportation problem in Black Sea Region and who was engaged in nut and cereal trade, buys his first vehicle with a partner and starts road haulage.

1937
Ulusoy Coach Company Hac� Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy, continues its adventure of regional passenger and cargo transportation with a 1937 model-year Opel between Of and Trabzon. And the first company is founded: Ulusoy Coach Company Corporation. With this first corporation, Ulusoy Company’s principle is also determined: “EVERYTHING ON TIME.”

1941
It is the troublesome years of Second World War. The transportation of goods and people to other regions, the utilization of production and labor is becoming more and more important every day. Hac� Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy expands the cargo business as well as his coach company and adds new trucks to the fleet. The management of the Coach Company is undertaken by the family’s eldest son, Mehmet Ali Ulusoy. The family quickly takes the first steps in turning this small business located in Trabzon into a giant holding company that expands to whole Turkey and also abroad. Ali Osman Ulusoy in 1943, Sefer Ulusoy in 1944, Saffet Ulusoy in 1946 and Cemal Ulusoy in 1949, cooperates in order to strengthen the Ulusoy family.

1952
Ulusoy Unlimited Company Senior Hac� Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy entrusts the whole business to his children. A period of progress starts for young Ulusoys. Ulusoy Unlimited Company is established. The family acquires the franchise of Scania Vabis buses and trucks for Black Sea Region.

Scheduled coach services start between Trabzon and Erzurum, Trabzon and Samsun, Samsun and Ankara, and Samsun and Istanbul. During the same period, log, wheat, sugar beet, fuel and salt freight tenders are won and large scale haulages are accomplished successfully.

1959
In these years, Y�lmaz Ulusoy starts his business life in Trabzon.

1961
Ulusoy Tourism Travel Unlimited Company While Ali Osman Ulusoy and Saffet Ulusoy stay in Trabzon, M. Ali Ulusoy and Y�lmaz Ulusoy move to Samsun, Sefer Ulusoy moves to Ankara and Cemal Ulusoy moves to Istanbul and together they start a period of huge progress for Ulusoys. Significant developments are achieved not only in passenger and cargo transportation, but also in fields of construction and building contractor. But the main breakthrough is achieved in tourism.

1970
Ulusoy Tourism and Travel Inc. New opportunities are rising in Turkey’s international relations and foreign trade. With the establishment of Ulusoy Tourism and Travel Inc., Ulusoys turn to utilization of the tourism potential in Turkey. In three years time, Ulusoy Transport Company is established. A period of progress starts in international road transport. In a short time, Ulusoy becomes one of the leading transportation companies of Turkey. In 13 years, 28 million tons of cargo is transported from Samsun, Trabzon, Hopa, Mersin and Iskenderun ports to Iran and Iraq.

Domestic and international transport services are provided from Istanbul and Turkey’s major trade centers. With these services, the company achieves $1 billion 700 millions foreign exchange flow into Turkey during this period and rewarded with a gold medal each year.

1973
Years of Sorrow In 1973, the eldest brother Mehmet Ali Ulusoy and a year after that the mother Rahime Ulusoy lose their lives.

1980
This is the year the father of Ulusoy Family and the founder of Ulusoy companies Hac� Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy passes away.

1981
Progress continues in a fast pace. Ulusoy acquires the right to distribute trucks, haulers and buses of one of the leading automotive companies of the world Volvo, and also becomes the main distributor of Neoplan buses in Turkey in 1983. Truck park of more than 300 vehicles is modernized, the coach fleet of 450 is updated and Neoplan buses are added to the fleet, Ulusoy Maritime Inc. begins its operations in Samsun. Following the significant investments in tourism, Alanya Aspendos Hotel, Ku�adas� Hotel Fantasia de Luxe and Kemer Holiday Club Resort are opened and the Ulusoy name wins recognition in tourism industry.

1989
The Cofounder of Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Company Cemal Ulusoy, who contributed to the rapid growth of our companies and did immeasurable things for Turkish tourism and land passenger transport, passes away on October 3rd, 1989.

1991
Bosfor Inc. By purchasing Bosfor Inc., trips to Europe are launched. Now the goal is to provide a perfect service by keeping the responsibility of being the leader in transportation industry in mind. In addition, during this period, crude oil transport within Iran is handled successfully with 2.500 tankers and 10,000 Turkish personnel for four years.

1993
Ulusoy Travel Transport Inc. Within the process of rapid and strong development, the first steps from passenger and cargo haulage towards a giant holding company are taken.

1994
Ulusoy International Transport and Trade Inc. Ulusoy, which is providing international services in air and container transportation, restructures following the establishment of International Transport and Trade Inc. in order to provide integrated haulage services.

This is followed by acquiring the Turkish representation of Emery Worldwide that has agencies all over the world. In this way, an organization of international level is achieved in air cargo and container transport. Ulusoy gains a respectful, strong and reliable corporate identity undertaking international integrated transportation in land, air and marine haulage.

1995
Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Company Inc. All companies forming Ulusoy Group of Companies come together under the roof of Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Company Inc. It is now time to set sail for new horizons for Ulusoy. Corporate capital is strengthened, financial and legal structure is developed. The conclusion of corporate identity efforts marks the accomplishment of modern restructuring. Other maritime companies are established in this year.

1996
Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Company Inc., and the companies operating under Transport Group, Coach Group, Automotive Group and Textile Group move to new headquarters in Yenibosna on May 18th, 1996.

1997
Ulusoy Textile Inc. Achieving success in all its initiatives, Ulusoy opens state of the art �erkezk�y Ulusoy Textile Factory. The factory begins production on June 2nd, 1997 with Ceys brand name.

Today, with its $300 million return, Ulusoy became not only the leader of land and maritime transport industry, but also developed into an international group of companies with initiatives and successes in tourism, hotel business, automotive and textile. Ulusoy, as one of the leading companies in Turkish private sector, continues its development with new initiatives and investments to be able to provide high-quality services to Turkish public and to contribute to the Turkish economy.

2002
Ulusoy Group of Companies celebrates its 65th anniversary in 2002 with “Everything on Time” principle in mind, and continues its activities by exercising high-quality service.

2003
Ulusoy �e�me Port Ulusoy Holding Company, as an indication of its aspirations for the development of Turkish economy, has purchased the privatized �e�me Port from Turkish Maritime Organization Inc. as a result of years-long struggle of Ulusoy Holding Company’s board of directors.

2004
Royal Class Ulusoy Holding Company has carried the concept of travel to the peaks of comfort and reliability with state of the art Royal Class buses.

2006
Ulusoy continues to be the best in the sector with an open-minded perspective towards innovation throughout all its companies equipped with advance systems of modern technology without sacrificing the concept of reliable and exclusive service in transportation, automotive, tourism and textile sectors.
