1920
It has not been long since the founding of the Turkish Republic and the country is still fighting poverty, trying to recover from the ravages of wars lasting for a succession of years. The hard working, intelligent and enterprising people of the Black Sea are trying to survive by cultivating hazelnuts, corn and citrus fruits on fertile but steep slopes and by fishery and textiles such as waist clothes and "Rize" clothes woven by hand looms. However, the inexistence of roads and vehicles is a great problem to them. The region's only connection with the outside world is through passenger ships or freighters that called to the coastal cities and small boats shuttling between the ships and the main land. When natural disasters add to these, life becomes harder for the Black Sea people.

When heavy rainfall makes Solaklı Stream on Of-Çaykara border flood, connection between the two towns is destroyed. Until Hacı Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy provides a solution that will determine his whole life and the destiny of the three generations of his family. Father Ulusoy, with his wit and enterprising personality, takes the first step of the group of companies that will later turn out to be a giant holding comprising of land, air, marine transportation, tourism, automotive, textile enterprises, only by making a simple raft restoring transportation between the two towns.

1928
Father Ulusoy who brought a workable solution to the transportation problem of the Black Sea region is also dealing in hazelnut and grain trade at this time. He purchases his first vehicle together with one of his relatives and starts cargo transportation.

1937
Ulusoy Coaching Management
Hacı Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy continues his adventure with a 37 Opel bus transporting regional passengers and cargo between Of and Trabzon. And the first company is established: Ulusoy Coaching Management Company. With this first company, Ulusoy Management's principle is also determined:
“EVERYTHING ON TIME.”

1952
Ulusoy Unlimited Company
Father Hacı Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy hands down the business to his children. A new era of undertakings start for the young Ulusoys. Ulusoy Unlimited Company is established. The family obtains the agency of Mobil and Scania Vabis coaches and trucks in the Black Sea region.

Scheduled passenger lines between Trabzon-Erzurum, Trabzon-Samsun, Samsun-Ankara, Samsun-İstanbul start. In the same years, large-scale transportation by obtaining timber, wheat, beetroot, fuel and salt transportation tenders are accomplished.

1959
Yılmaz Ulusoy goes into business in Trabzon.

1961
Ulusoy Tourism Travel Unlimited Company
Ali Osman Ulusoy and Saffet Ulusoy move to Trabzon, M.Ali Ulusoy and Yılmaz Ulusoy to Samsun, Sefer Ulusoy to Ankara, Cemal Ulusoy to İstanbul to start new ventures. Besides those in cargo and passenger transportation, outstanding progress in construction and contracting fields are made. But the best venture is in tourism.

1970
Ulusoy Tourism and Travel Inc.
New opportunities start emerging in international relations and foreign trade of Turkey. Ulusoys aim at benefiting from the tourism potentials of the country after the establishment of Ulusoy Tourism and Travel Inc.

Three years later, Ulusoy Transport Company is established. Achievements in international TIR transportation begin.Soon Ulusoy takes its place among the leading transportation companies in Turkey. The transportation of 28 million tons of cargo from the ports of Samsun, Trabzon, Hopa, Mersin, İskenderun to Iran and Iraq have been made by Ulusoy in 13 years. Transportation services from İstanbul and important trade centers to regions throughout Turkey and abroad are now being provided. Through such services, the company provides an influx of foreign currency equal to USD 1.7 billion to our country and thus is rewarded with a gold medal each year.

1973
Painful Years
In 1973, Mehmet Ali Ulusoy, the eldest brother and one year later Rahime Ulusoy, the mother pass away.

1980
1980 is the year the family loses Hacı Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy, father and the founder of the Ulusoy companies.

1981
Attempts continue rapidly.
Ulusoy becomes the Turkish general distributor of Volvo, one of the major automotive establishments in the world, for its trucks, trailers, construction vehicles and coaches and also of Neoplan for its coaches in 1983. The modernization of the TIR fleet consisting of more than 300 vehicles is realized. The fleet of 450 coaches is renewed and Neoplan coaches are incorporated into the existing fleet, Ulusoy Shipping Inc. is established in Samsun and starts its activities. When Aspendos Hotel, Hotel Fantasia de Luxe and Holiday Club Resort, great investments in tourism, get into service, the name Ulusoy takes its place in the tourism management sector.

1989
Cemal Ulusoy, who had contributed much to the rapid growth our companies, the founding partner of Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding, passes away in October 3, 1989.

1991
Bosfor Inc.
European lines start after buying Bosfor Inc.
The current target is to offer impeccable service by fully bearing the responsibility of leadership in the transportation field.

In these years again, the transportation of crude petroleum in Iran is undertaken for four years with 2500 tankers and 10.000 Turkish personnel.

1993
Ulusoy Travel Transportation Inc.
Within a rapid and stable development process, the first step from passenger and cargo transportation to being a giant holding is taken.

1994
Ulusoy International Transportation and Commerce Inc.
After the establishment of Ulusoy International Transportation and Commerce Inc, giving international services in airway and container transportation, it is structured to realize integrated transportation services.

This is followed by becoming the Turkish agent of Emery Worldwide, having agencies throughout the world. In this way, an international organization in the airfreight cargo and container transportation fields is established. Ulusoy gains the identity of a prestigious, strong and reliable large establishment providing internationally integrated transportation on land, in the air and at the sea.

1995
Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Inc.
The companies that formed Ulusoy Group are brought together under the umbrella of Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Inc. It is time for Ulusoy to set out to new horizons. Corporate capital's consolidation and the financial and legal structures' improvement are supplied. After finishing the work for the institutional identity, another requirement of modern structuring is also implemented. Other shipping companies are established at this date and start activities.

1996
Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Inc and companies of the Transport Group, the Coaching Group, the Automotive Group and the Textile Group move to the new Holding Building in Yenibosna in May 18th 1996.

1997
Ulusoy Textile Inc.
Ulusoy, having been successful in any business under-taking so far, sets up the Ulusoy Textile Plant at Çerkezköy, equipped with the most developed techniques. And initiates production under the "Ceys" trademark on June 21st, 1997.

Today Ulusoy, having a turnover of USD 300 million has not only been leader in Turkey's land, air and marine transportation but also managed to become an international group of companies, resulting in enterprises and successes in tourism, hotel management, automotive sector and textiles. Ulusoy, one of the leading private establishments in Turkey, intends to grow further with new attempts, new enterprises and new investments aiming at giving better service to Turkish people and contributing more to the economy of the country.

2002
Ulusoy Group of Companies, celebrating its 65th anniversary, continues its business with the "Everything on Time" principle in 2002, undertaking all that is necessary for qualified service.

2003
Ulusoy Inc. bought Çeşme Harbor from The Maritime Lines of Turkey. The harbor was privatized by the government and Ulusoy Inc. has owned the harbor thanks to the endless efforts of Yilmaz Ulusoy.

2004
Ulusoy Travel Inc. has started serving its customers with Royal Class buses and the business has reahced its peak concerning comfort and security.

2006
