AFTER 70 YEARS

How much would I wish that our beloved father Hacı Mehmet Bahattin Ulusoy, who had started with the "Everything On Time" principle that summarizes working, thinking, being punctual in everything, not forgetting, could see these days.

We celebrate the 70th anniversary of our establishment, founded by his practical wit, foresight and initiative in tough times.

We are happy and proud that the companies that have arisen from that foundation have become an establishment under the title of Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Inc., consisting of, Coaching, Transportation, Automotive, Air Cargo Transportation, Marine Transportation, Textiles, Tourism and Chain of Hotel groups.

Today, from a single 1928 model truck to a fleet with hundreds of TIR trucks, from a single 1937 model bus to hundreds of modern coaches, from a raft at Solaklı Stream to vessels sailing at international seas, and introducing air cargo services, we have reached an important position in the land, air and marine transportation sector. The impulse of such success has been love for our country and enthusiasm for providing our people with more reliable services of better quality.

Following the technology required in this era, we have proven our service quality in transportation sector to many countries from European to Asia. Each and every one of our companies in land, air and marine transportation, in tourism, in automotive, in textile sectors and our hotels awarded with a blue flag, obtained ISO Quality Certificates and thus their levels of quality in service are approved.

It must be admitted that it has not always been easy to overcome the difficulties in our business life over half a century. In this process, we tried to make sound observations and in the light of them, identify with the correct principles that would take our company to success. We were never fed up with success. We always felt the excitement of the next step, innovation and development. We chose to learn from the difficulties that stood in our way as messages.

Our world has reached the end of the first year of the 21st century with an unbelievable speed of change. Our time is one of science, technology and computers. The distances between the countries of the world shorten with one touch on the key. We have to go with this flow of fast developments, not stay back and catch European standards while in European Union. To get to the position we deserve in the global world, I would like to define the success of our state with two formulas; First there is;

Health
Social peace
Political stability

Our government has to achieve these first and also deal with;

Education
Inflation
Energy

Of course to overcome problems in these fields, a wise and punctual management must be on duty. We have to become a society that works hard, produces a lot and consumes consciously and wisely. Only then we can save our country from poverty. Throughout the history, it is well seen that countries that do not stand on their own feet, those that try to survive with the good intentioned help from other countries, reached nowhere. We can only be strong through our own products and gains. We can reach the "level of contemporary civilization", as Atatürk put it, only through this approach. I do not look from the door of hopelessness. The future is ours, our youth's. Shortly, it is Turkey's. My wish is that we all work together and everyone does his own duty.

Celebrating our 70th anniversary with happiness and excitement, I thank our colleagues who have contributed so much to our successes with their knowledge and efforts, our prestigious customers, all the companies and establishments we work with and respectfully commemorate those who left us.
