Undoubtedly, Ulusoy Coaching Management established in 1937 as the first company of the group and then continued its commercial activities under the names Ulusoy Unlimited Co., Ulusoy Tourism Travel Unlimited Co. and Ulusoy Travel Transport Inc.,which has made the greatest contribution to Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Inc. of today.
Ulusoy Coaching Group made its first investment in a fleet in 1950 with 16 coaches. Then, the coaching management widened its regional service of Trabzon-Samsun-Rize line by the introduction of Trabzon-Ankara-İstanbul-Erzurum-Kars lines throughout Turkey.
The second fleet investment of the coaching management was 10 Scania-Vabis brand coaches in 1959-1960. Until 1969, Magirus Man brand had also joined to the fleet. The first large fleet was established in 1970's with 80 Mercedes 302 coaches. In 1970's, Ulusoy Coaching Management started serving throughout Turkey with the largest fleet of the time; reaching 200 vehicles comprising the contracted ones.
In 1983, with its enlarging structure and with the aim of meeting the increasing demand and achieving world standard transportation by modernization through new investments, Ulusoy formed the first Neoplan fleet by an agency contract with Neoplan of Germany, one of the major establishments in coach production in the world. After this date, Ulusoy has been the leader of many innovations in the sector and thus presented to Turkey the concept of contemporary and modern transportation in world standards.
The new fleet started with the Neoplan Cityliner, became stronger with the Skyliner, the first double deck coaches of Turkey, in 1988. Then, with the addition of Neoplan Jumbo, the fleet was modernized. In 1991, the Neoplan Super Skyliner (Megaliner)
coaches with 80 passengers, capacity, four axles were put to service in Europe for the first time.
In 1989, with the increasing transportation capacity, the Mediterranean Regional Headquarters (Antalya, Kemer, Side, Belek, Alanya), in 1991 the Aegean Regional Headquarters (İzmir, Çeşme, Kuşadası, Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye) in 2001, the East Mediterranean lines were put to service.
The first investment of resort facilities brought on the agenda by the enlarging network of services was Bolu Doruk Facility whose construction finished in 1988 and was opened the same year. Ulusoy started the 21st century understanding of transportation in Turkey, through Neoplan Starliner vehicles put into service in Turkey in 1997. Neoplan Starliner, having won the World Design Award with its special design in the year 2000, became the name of trust, comfort and privilege. Ulusoy, giving service through an on-line system in all its terminals all over Turkey since 1998, carried this investment on technology to the Internet in 2000's.
Ulusoy made its superior understanding of service approved to the world standards by the ISO 9002 quality certificate received in 1999. Ulusoy has been rendering service as one of the coach managements with the largest network of service in Turkey with lines in Marmara, Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Aegean, Mediterranean and East Mediterranean regions.
With its 2000 employees throughout the country, its huge fleet of 450 coaches most of which are Neoplan Starliner meaning the most comfortable and reliable coaches in the world, its technology, its infrastructure investments, its trained personnel and its superior service understanding, Ulusoy Travel Transport Inc. Coaching Group gives world standard quality services.
Besides providing service to 3 million passengers in the country, and 300.000 people in the tourism sector annually, Ulusoy makes great contribution to the Turkish economy with its turn over of more than USD 110 million. Ulusoy, since the first years of the Republic, has been the leader of the sector forming highway passenger transportation through its innovations and attempts.
